The farm is at its most itself after the last guests leave — when the grounds settle, the vineyard goes quiet, and the estate is entirely yours for the night.
Four ways to make
the farm your own.
Tranquility Farm's overnight properties are available year-round for private rental — to wedding guests extending their stay, to families and groups seeking Virginia wine country, and to anyone who simply wants to wake up on a 200-year-old estate with an estate winery and the Blue Ridge Mountains on the horizon. All three houses are available on VRBO, or inquire directly for group bookings, wedding weekend packages, and on-site culinary services from the estate's exclusive catering partner.
Built in 1807 by Quaker land developer David Lovett, the Federal fieldstone manor is the oldest and most storied structure on the estate. Original plaster crown molding, heart pine floors on both staircases, and working fireplaces that have been warming this particular farmhouse for over two centuries. The exterior quartz formation still catches the sunrise on the summer solstice at 7am — as it has done every year since the house was built.
Renting the Manor House is not a hotel stay. It is a private tenancy in a home of genuine historic character — seclusion at the end of a single private road, with
The Vineyard Cottage sits on the Tranquility Farm estate with direct views across the vineyard rows — the kind of view that makes waking up early worthwhile. A private cottage for groups of up to 10, positioned within the estate grounds and available year-round for leisure stays, wedding weekends, honeymoons, and group escapes.
This is the property for guests who want proximity to the vineyards — morning coffee with vines outside the window, evenings that end with the estate winery within walking distance. It pairs naturally with the Manor House for larger groups looking to take over the farmstead together.
The Grüner Bungalow is the largest overnight property on the estate — eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms, sleeping sixteen guests — positioned on the estate winery grounds with immediate access to the tasting room, the vineyard terrace, and the full winery experience. A private pool is available from May through September.
Named for the Grüner Veltliner grape, one of the estate's signature white varieties, the Bungalow is the natural base for a wine country group stay. Large enough for a full family reunion, intimate enough to feel like a private estate.
For those who want the estate grounds at their most elemental — open fields, vineyard views, and the particular quiet that settles in after dark. Glamping on the estate is arranged through our authorized glamping vendor, who sets up and manages the full experience on the grounds.
